Freedom Schoolhouse and Farm is committed to protecting the privacy of our families, students, and staff.

The Freedom Schoolhouse app is a private communication platform for authorized Freedom Schoolhouse and Farm families and staff. It allows enrolled families to receive school announcements, communicate with staff, view school and camp photos, and access information related to their family.

The app is not a public social network. Access is limited to approved users with authorized accounts.

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect or store:

Account Information

• Email address

• Display name

• Account role

• Authentication information

• Account status

• Internal account identifiers

Family Information

• Parent or guardian names

• Family name

• Child names

• School enrollment

• Camp enrollment

This information is used only to connect families with the

correct school information.

Profile Information

• Selected profile icon

• Optional profile photo (if enabled)

Family Chat

When you send messages through Family Chat, the app stores:

• Messages

• Photos you choose to upload

• Sender information

• Read status

• Timestamps

• Reply information

Messages are only visible to authorized users within the appropriate family conversation.

Announcements

The app stores information necessary to provide:

• School Year announcements

• Summer Camp announcements

• Read status

• Reactions

• Related timestamps

Camp and School Photos

Authorized staff and authorized users may upload photographs.

Photos include information necessary for the app to function, including:

• upload date

• camp or school association

• storage location

• uploader

Photos are only visible to authorized users who have permission to view them.

Push Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app stores:

• a Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token

• a random installation identifier

• notification preferences

• device platform

These are used only to deliver notifications to your device.

Push notifications are delivered through:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging

• Apple Push Notification Service (APNs)

How We Use Information

Information is used to:

• authenticate users

• provide secure access

• connect families with the correct children

• deliver Family Chat

• display announcements

• display photos

• send notifications

• provide school communication

• improve security

• troubleshoot technical issues

• process data removal requests

Photos and Messages

Photos are uploaded only when an authorized user intentionally selects them.

The app requests access to your photo library only when:

• selecting photos to upload

• saving authorized photos to your own device

Removing a message from the app does not necessarily remove every underlying system record immediately. Limited information may be temporarily retained for security, delivery history, or system integrity.

Third-Party Services

The Freedom Schoolhouse app uses trusted service providers:

• Supabase for authentication, database storage, file storage, realtime synchronization, and server functions.

• Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications.

• Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) for notifications on Apple devices.

• Resend may be used to send administrative emails for data removal requests.

These providers may maintain operational or security logs necessary to provide their services.

Advertising and Tracking

The Freedom Schoolhouse app:

• does not display advertising

• does not use advertising identifiers

• does not track users across other companies' apps or websites

• does not sell personal information

• does not share information for targeted advertising

The app does not use third-party analytics or crash-reporting services.

Children's Information

The app contains information related to children enrolled in Freedom Schoolhouse and Farm programs.

Children are not expected to create public accounts.

Access to children's information is managed through authorized parent, guardian, and staff accounts.

Parents and guardians should only upload information and photographs they are authorized to share.

Data Retention and Deletion

Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to:

• operate the app

• maintain school records

• provide requested services

• meet legal obligations

• maintain security

• complete authorized data removal requests

Parents or guardians may submit a Data Removal Request through the app or by contacting Freedom Schoolhouse and Farm.

Deletion requests are reviewed individually and may require verification before processing.

Some information may be retained when required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or operational purposes.

Security

Freedom Schoolhouse and Farm uses authenticated accounts, role-based permissions, family-specific access controls, and the security features provided by our service providers to help protect your information.

While we work to safeguard your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
